Abstract:
The beam quality of diode laser is measured. and the collecting,collimating,shaping,focusing and coupling into a fibre of the dirge laser beam is experimentally investigated. Using microcylindrical lens and fibre top processing techniques,a coupling efficiency of 85.7% has been achived forcoupling one channel of the Siemens AG 5W dirge bar into a 200μm core diameter fibre. At the meantime,the Positioning sensitivites of the shaping system and the fibre are also measured.

In this Paper the contributions on the coupling efficiency form the various portions of intersecting circular pump eavity was investigated and the approaches to increase the coupling efficiency also was given. Theoretical calculations of the efficiencies of pump cavities are agreeable with experimental results.

In this paper,the transformation properties of the He-Ne and CO2 laser beams passing through a axicon system has been experimentally investigated in detail. Based on the geometrical optics,the optieal transformation properties of the axicon system are also analysed. For some practieal applications,the schemes of the uniform line focucing and the annular beam are prope and have high transformation efficiency. The speem can be widely used in laser processing,beam alignment and focucing.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the theoretical basis and the error for laser wavelength measurement,and point out that using a F-P and CCD sensor to measure the laser wavelength is a better method because the method has higher resolution of wavelength and can be used in realtime.

This paper described the fabrication method of the plastic model by using the fast liquid photohardening polymer. The physical,chemical,and photo-sensitive performance of the photopolymerare presented in this paper. When a model was rotating on a circular index table,the parameters of thecircular flat surface were tested and controlled with a computer system. The roudness and the variationcurves of the flat surface were tested.

A chemical coating method for preparing monologer antireflective coating film on the glass lens surface used in high power laser has been developed. The main problem is to prepare the suspension liquid of silica particles and carefully clean the surface of lens. Then it is neccesary only to coatthe suspension liquid onto the surface of lens at room temperature without requirement of further treatment. The transmissivity of coated K9 glass lens and silica lens can be above 99%.

The spot array is indispensable for optical computing,ortical interconnection and photo switching network. All of the systems require high spot uniformity of the array. Therfore,the diagnosis ofthe spot array is very important. In our dignostic system,a CCD sensor is used as a detector. Abstract:
This paper demonstrates the relationship of the output characteristics and facet reflectivity of superluminescent diode(SLD). according to coupled rate equations. The theoretical calculations show that:(1) The semiconductor laser has a optimum Point of output power facet reflectivity. For a SLD,with the decreasing of facet reflectivity,the power curve slope,maximum output power and spectral modulation depth decrease too.(2) Increasing of back facet reflectivity can increase the output power of SLD and reduce the operation current.(3) Because of the decreasing of the facet reflectivity,the nonuniform of carrier distribution is evident,the backward wave is obviously stronger than forward wave. Finally. as a comparission,the experimental study has been made. The experimental results are well in agreement with theoretical analysis.

Abstract:
The experimental study of BBO OPO with narrowed linewidth pumped by a laser at 0.532μm is presented. The output linewidth less than 0.1nm is reached at doprerate point. The maximum energy conversion efficiency as high as 12% is obtained.

Ridged-waveguide AlGaAs/GaAs single-quantum-well lasers with graded-index separate confinement heterostructure were fabricated by molecular beam epitaxy. Fabricated dirge lasers exhibited excellent lasing characteristics including a low threshold current of 23mA(CW,25℃,5μm stripe). Continuous-wave laser output increases linearly with the drive current up to 15mW in single-mode operation.
