Effect of Semarmont prism on distribution of light intensity of single-mode Gaussian beam

  • 摘要: 为了研究Semarmont棱镜对单模高斯光束光强分布的影响,采用了分析相干的两束光光程差的方法,对光在Semarmont棱镜胶合介质层中的干涉效应进行了详细分析。结果表明,对于给定的入射单模高斯光束,若光在胶合层界面上的入射角、胶合层的厚度和胶合剂的折射率,三者确定其二,棱镜对透射光束光强分布的影响将随另一参量的变化作周期性振荡,且透射高斯光束的形状也会随之改变;相比较而言,棱镜对透射o光的影响要大于e光,但从总体上看,棱镜无论对o光还是对e光的影响均小于3%,在要求不是特别严格的应用中,可以忽略Semarmont棱镜对单模高斯光束光强分布的影响。
    Abstract: In order to study the transmitting characteristics of single-mode Gaussian beam passing through polarizing prism,after analyzing the optical path difference in two coherent beams,the interference effect at the cementing layer of Semarmont prism was analyzed in detail.The results reveal that for single-mode Gaussian beam,the transmission of the polarized light oscillates in period with one of the three parameters,i.e.,the incident angle at the interface of the cementing layer,the thickness of the cementing layer and the refracting index of cement.The shape of the transmitted beam will change with them too.Comparatively,the effect of prism on o light is more than e light.In general,the effect on the transmitted Gaussian beam less than 3%,so the effect of Semarmont prism on the transmitting characteristics of Gaussian beam can be neglected in practice if the requirement is not extraordinary strict.
