  • The air-clad large-mode-area photonic crystal fibers have more advantages than conventional fibers for application in high power fiber lasers.The research progress of high power PCF lasers is briefly introduced,then the drawbacks existed in the design of coupling system and resonant cavity are analyzed.Finally it is pointed out that PCFs splicing with low loss is the key issue in the further research of higher power fiber lasers.
