  • Optical characteristics of the Nd:YAG polycrystalline ceramic with Nd concentration of 1%,such as absorption spectrum,fluorescence spectra,transmission spectrum and fluorescence life are measured,which are compared with those of Nd:YAG single crystal.Results demonstrate Nd:YAG polycrystalline transparent ceramic to be a potential laser medium.

Abstract: Optical characteristics of the Nd:YAG polycrystalline ceramic with Nd concentration of 1%,such as absorption spectrum,fluorescence spectra,transmission spectrum and fluorescence life are measured,which are compared with those of Nd:YAG single crystal.Results demonstrate Nd:YAG polycrystalline transparent ceramic to be a potential laser medium.
