  • Thermodynamic effects on properties of the polarizing prisms are studied.How the temperature affects the transmissivity and the transmitted intensity disturbance is analytically discussed.The results are in accordance with the experimental ones.The thermodynamic effect on the extinction ratio is studied in the experiment.At last,the destructive experiment has been conducted.It indicates that when the temperature changes too fast,the polarizing prisms will be damaged severely.
