Analysis of erbium-doped superfluorescent fiber source in double-pass backward configuration

Abstract: Erbium-doped superfluorescent fiber sources(SFS) in double-pass backward(DPB) configuration are characterized in output power,spectrum linewidth and mean wavelength through theoretical simulation.The results indicate that DPB SFSs mean wavelength can be adjusted insenstitive to pump power by properly adjusting the erbium-doped fiber(EDF) length,SFS with double-pass backward configuration made by us is also reported.
