  • To solve the difficulty of high silicon steel welding on the hot rolled sheet pickling line,new joining technology composed of laser cutting,laser welding and laser heat treating by a 4kW YAG laser has been presented.After testing on Hi B steel,this paper has explored the effects of welding parameters on the joint mechanical properties,profile and microstructure,and then optimized technological parameters.The study has proved feasibility of the presented method which has succeeded in industrial on-line production testing.
