  • After defining the power conversion efficiency(PCE) of fiber Raman amplifiers(FRAs),the PCE of Raman amplifiers under different conditions is analyzed.Then the changes of PCE with input power,input power and gain fiber length of FRAs are discussed.The difference of PCE between the distributed FRA and the discrete FRA is compared.Finally how to improve the PCE of FRAs is presented.

Abstract: After defining the power conversion efficiency(PCE) of fiber Raman amplifiers(FRAs),the PCE of Raman amplifiers under different conditions is analyzed.Then the changes of PCE with input power,input power and gain fiber length of FRAs are discussed.The difference of PCE between the distributed FRA and the discrete FRA is compared.Finally how to improve the PCE of FRAs is presented.
