Analysis of the steady-state behavior of Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped double-clad fiber laser

  • Numerical analysis of the Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped double clad fiber laser has been preformed.The distribution of pump light and laser power along the function of output power versus pump power,the effect of fiber length and mirror reflectivity on output power have been analyzed.The calculated slope efficiency is up to 56.3%.It is relatively close to the quantum limit.
