  • Based on matrix decomposition method,the analytical propagation expression for Gaussian beams passing through complicated ABCD optical systems with internal hard-edge aperture is derived and analyzed physically.The theoretical result is illustrated with numerical examples of Gaussian beams passing through a spatial filter.Finally its extensive application is also discussed.
