  • In the paper,mid infrared optical parametric oscillator based on birefringent nonlinear crystals such as KTP,KTA,AgGaS2,AgGaSe2and ZnGeP2 are introduced and discussed.Finally quasi phase matcched periodically poled LiNbO3 OPO is analyzed that can produce quasi continuous and continuous waves in the range of 3~5μm.
