Abstract
The properties of cosine-Gaussian beams propag ating in free space and propagating through an unapertured thin lens are respectively analyzed and calculated.The closed-form expressions of the diffraction field are obtained by using the general Huygens-Fresnel diffraction integral.Axial intensity and relative focal shift are derived.The calculated results are analyzed and compared.
