  • Functional gradient material (FGM) is a new of boundary continuous composite material.In this paper,research shows that the laser spot heating play a very important role in fabricating Al2O3 Ti functional gradient material.In our experiments,we utilize the thermal couples,which were installed in specimens,to successfully measure the gradient distribution of heating temperature for laser spot heating and analyze the action of laser spot heating in the course of fabricating FGM. At the same time,Al2O3 Ti FGM,11mm in diameter and 3mm thick,has been fabricated.
