  • considering study of the energy loss,energy spread and their corresponding significance of a free-electron laser with magnetostatic field independent of z axis,the relationship of energy spread and spontaneous emission is derived.The results show that tile spontaneous emission is proportional to electron energy spread,and the optical power gain is proportional to average electron enelgy loss.
