  • This paper reports the measurement of absorption and small signal gain coefficients of the first triplet transition of the sodium dimer.The small signal gain coefficient is larger than the absorption coefficient in the whole spectral region,which also confirms the possibility of the laser oscillation in this region.

Abstract: This paper reports the measurement of absorption and small signal gain coefficients of the first triplet transition of the sodium dimer.The small signal gain coefficient is larger than the absorption coefficient in the whole spectral region,which also confirms the possibility of the laser oscillation in this region.
