Abstract: A high sensitivity semiconductor thermoelectric module is used in a optical radiation detector to detect temperature changes of the sensor. The module has a sensitivity near 380μV/℃ per pair of thermoelements, being ten times as high as the voltage output per pair of thermoelements of the metalwire thermopiles. The thermoelectric module has been applied successfully in all types of laser energy metres.
