Polarization characteristics of multiwavelengths Er3+ YAlO3 laser

  • The polarization characteristics of 2.7110μm,2.7299μm,and 2.7950μm laser emissions oscillated simultaneously in 10 at% Er3+ ion doped a axis YAlO3 laser have been investigated experimentally.It has been found that the 2.7110μm and 2.7950μm laser emissions are polarized with its E vector parallel to crystallo,gra-phic b axis.While 2.7299 μm laser emission is partially polarized with the long axis of ellipse parallel to crystallographic c axis.The output characteristics of these laser emissions are also given in this paper.
