  • In order to measure atmospheric aerosols and cloud optical properties quantitatively,a 607nm Raman lidar was developed.The methods for measuring optical properties of aerosols&cloud and detecting the interaction between aerosols and cloud by means of Raman lidar were discussed.The typical results of aerosol and cloud extinction coefficient were presented.A detailed study was performed for retrieval the aerosol optical parameters in the vicinity of clouds,which shows that a Raman lidar has the ability to detect the interaction of aerosols and clouds.Based on the result of the one-wavelength Raman lidar,a multiwavelength Raman lidar is under developing which should have more advantages in detecting the interaction of aerosols and clouds.
