Effect of align deviation value on fiber laser welding property of automotive galvanized steel

  • In order to study effect of the align deviation value on welding property of automotive galvanized steel based on fiber laser welding,the orthogonal test was adopted to obtain the best ideal parameters without align deviation.Weld topography and cross section of different align deviation value were analyzed,micro-hardness,mechanical properties and micro-structure of weld were tested,and the effect of different butt joint gaps on the critical align deviation value was analyzed.The results show that when the align deviation value is less or equal to 0.30mm(about 17% of sheet thickness),the weld topography is even and continuous.Micro-hardness in the fusion zone and heat affected zone is higher than that in the base material,the tensile strength of fusion zone is better than that of the base material.The change of the align deviation value does not have much impact on the micro-structure of weld.The butt joint gap has obvious influence on the critical align deviation value.
