Abstract:
A pulsed YAG laser is used to ignite detonating powder to produce a explosive field and combustion field.The time series interferograms of the explosive field and initial combustion process are obtained with a time series interferometry which consists of a large aperture and long path interferometer,a series pulsed laser source and a rotating right angle prism type of high speed canning camera. These time series interferograms form the basis of studying the characteristics of the explosive field and combustion field of the detonating powder.

By using the self-consistent method of the complex curvature tensor Q-1,the characteristics of the axially asymmetric resonator bounded by cylindrical-spherical mirrors are analysed and illustrated with an numerical example.Our experiment of the slab solid state laser with an axially asymmetric resonator is reported and discussed.

The infraed spectrum character of the PbF2 thin film is presented.The formula used to calculate the optical index of the thin film from the spectrum character is modified and according to the modified formula,the optical index of PbF2 thin film is obtained.It is pointed out that the PbF2 is a good material for infrared coating.

The experiment of synthesizing superfine Si3N4 powder by using the CW CO2 laser to irradiate the fast flowing gases (SiH4+NH3) is described.The effect of the laser spectrum variation on the synthesis reaction has been revealed.The deformation phenomenon of the infrared absorption spectrum of the powder has been discovered.

The functional relationship between the diffraction efficiency τi(⊿ω)of a tunable-laser induced transient grating and the lifetime in ith energy level is derived from the theory of three-level rate equations and Maxwell equations.In this paper,the diffraction line shape τi(⊿ω)is analyzed and discussed.The experiment result of the longitudinal relaxation time T1 associated with the S0-S1 electronic transition of Malachite Green solution is also reported.
