Study of ultrafast relaxation phenomena based on resonant optical mixing process
Fu Changhai, Li Qingxing, Yu Zhenxin
1990, 14(5): 10-16.
Abstract:
The measurement of ultrafast relaxation phenomena on the order of picoseconds or femtoseconds using the techniques based on resonant optical miixng process without ultrashort light pulses has been reported in this paper. By means of density-matrix method, we calculated the nonlinear polarzability TR for this resonant mixing process generated in a two-level system. The results show that the frequency characteristic in this paper depends on longitudinal (T1) and transverse (T2) relaxation times. The T1 and T2, relaxation times of Malachite Green in water have been also reported. Their values are 1.20 ps and 0.09 ps respectively.
Hyperfine structure and isotope shift measurements on neodymium levels by laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy
Zhu Lizhou, Luo Zhaiyan, Qu Jianan, Zhou Zhiyao, Lin Fucheng
1990, 14(5): 17-20.
Abstract:
This paper describe high resolution study of neodymiun using an actively stabilized c.w. ring dye laser in a crossed laseratomic beam. Accurate values for isotope shifts in all transitions as well as for the hyperfine structure constant of 8 excited states have been obtained.
Study of light-emission device of M-I-M tunnel junctions
Yu Ping
1990, 14(5): 21-23.
Abstract:
Metal-insulator-metal tunnel junctions is found to emit light nuder iow applied bias. We have studied three structures of tunnel junctions. It has been shown experimently that surface roughness plays a notable role in light emission. We have suggested that light emission from tunnel juctions is predominantly fast mode mediated. We introduce LB film into such structure to form a new hopeful tunnel junction with good room temperature light-emission stability.
A velocimeter system for hydrogen pellet injection
Wu Songtao
1990, 14(5): 24-31.
Abstract:
In the one of the effective way of plasma diagnosis nowadys and the nuclear fusion fuelling in the future, the parameter of velocity of hydrogen pellets asked in physics is within 2%. A radiation light source of double seam and multichennel fibres in file style were used. This velocimeter system which has been developed could identify φ0.5mm objective at least and the precision of measurement result could be controlled within 1.6%.
Squeezed effects of an atom in superposition states
Zhou Peng, Peng Jinsheng
1990, 14(5): 32-36.
Abstract:
In this paper we have investigated the squeezed effects of a two-level atom interacting with superposition statesviathe multiphoton mechanism, that the atom may have been foreverly squeezed.

Abstract:
In this paper, according to numrical analysis method, the aurhor investigated that two dimensional Gaussian beam propagate in one of the model of gradient index nonlinear medium and discussed beam intensity how to influence itself propagation direction.
Computer-generated holograms used in bar-code checkout machine
Xu Ping, Gao Wenqi
1990, 14(5): 43-47.
Abstract:
The scanner described in this paper is fabricated by the method called computer-generated holograms. It has more adventages than conditional rotating or osillating mirror scanner, and is suitable to be used as the scanner of bar-code checkout machine. The desigen principle and the fabricating method are discussed in this paper. Experimental results are also given.
Features of SCDL oscillator-amplifier performance in single and double longitudinal modes
Yang Shengli
1990, 14(5): 47-52.
Abstract:
The experimental research on the spectral properties of the output and the performance of the short cavity dye laser (SCDL) and its dye amplifier operating in single and double modes respectively is reported. The problems on amplified spontaneous emission(ASE) from the amplifier, and instability of the ASE are discussed. The solution of the problems are proposed.
