Abstract: Degree of polarization of the optical modes in ring lasers are calculated and discussed. Polarization of the optical modes is expressed by Jones matrix under circular coordinate.Degree of polarization of the optical modes,which is decided by the optical property of the thin film and the crystal, depends on the optical modes' positions in ring cavity.
