Investigation on mode characteristics of two-segment DFB lasers

摘要: 利用耦合波方程,在引入平均场的方法后,得到了一种新的关于两段式DFB激光器的模式区分方法。并利用此法,分析了激光器的模式特性和波长调谐特性。计算结果与实验较好地吻合,说明了该方法可以有效地分析两段式DFB激光器的不同模式。Abstract: Based on coupling-wave equations,a new formula about the mode discrimination of two-segment DFB lasers was obtained after applying the mean-field method.The mode characteristics and the wavelength tuning charact eristics were analyzed with the formula.The calculating results accord with the experimental data,which shows the effectivity of this formula to study the different modes of DFB lasers.
