Abstract: The main metal powders of selective laser sintering (SLS) are introduced.The demands and principles of material choice and design of SLS are pointed out.Metal powders must fit with SLS technology in the aspect of forming precision,speed,strength and cost.The development tendency of metal powders is put forward.
