Abstract: The main factors affecting the measuring accuracy and stability of intensity modulated fiber optic sensor are put forward. In order to improve the performance of this kind sensor,compensation technique should be adopted to eliminate the influence induced by the external disturbance. More than ten kinds of compensation methods are described and compared in detail.
