Abstract: A method of coherent combination of laser beams has been proposed.Based on the conjugate gradient algorithm,the two-dimension numerical simulation with a 16-level phase quantized diffraction optical element(DOE) shows that the combination efficiency is about 94.8%,with an error less than 2.4%.Error analysis has been performed.
