Abstract: The cast WCp/Ni base alloy gradient composite coating is clad onto 40Cr tempered steel by means of broadband laser.The microstructure and properties of the coating have been tested and analyzed.A preliminary discussion of the mechanism to improve the coating's properties is also made.
