Study on laser welding of zinc coated steel and the effects of zinc vaporization

摘要: 进行了镀锌板激光焊接工艺研究,讨论了激光焊接过程中锌的气化蒸发对等离子体形成的影响.结果表明,光束模式与等离子体控制是影响焊接质量的重要因素.使用合适的焊接工艺,可获得成型良好、无缺陷且性能与母材相当的接头.Abstract: This paper report an investigation of laser beam butt-welding of zinc coated sheet for automobile use.The effects of the vaporization of zinc on the plasma formation are discussed.It is shown that the laser beam mode and the plasma-controlling gas flow rate are the most important parameters for obtaining a high quality joint.Successful butt joint beads with similar mechanical property to that of the base metal were obtained.
