Abstract: The crystal structure,spectrum properties and laser performances of a Cr4+-doped YAGare introduced systematically in this Paper.We also expound the limitation in tuning range and lasingproperties by the excited-state absorption,the polarization and the Passive Q-switch behavior by saturation absorption.
