Stimulated Brillouin scattering in Yb3+-doped double clad single-frequency fiber amplifier

摘要: 为了研究掺Yb3+双包层单频光纤放大器中受激布里渊散射产生的规律,从含有受激布里渊散射的速率方程出发,采用模拟计算的方法进行了理论分析。结果表明,光纤长度、抽运方式、抽运功率和换热系数对受激布里渊散射有很大的影响,信号功率的影响较小。所得结论为从实验上研究单频光纤放大器中受激布里渊散射的变化规律提供了理论依据。Abstract: In order to study stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS) in Yb3+-doped double clad single-frequency fiber amplifiers, numerical simulation was carried out based on the rate equations. The results show that fiber length, pump schemes, pump power, heat transfer coefficient make great impact on SBS effect. On the other hand the impact of the signal power is small. The results of simulation provide a theoretical guide to optimum design of high power single-frequency fiber amplifiers.
