Abstract
Laser processing ceramic materials is a new application of laser technology.The laser processing technology is used to make some special ceramic materials physically or chemically,and meets some special processing conditions for ceramic materials.Advance and state of the technology are reviewed in research and application of interaction of laser with ceramics.Some problems on the application and methods for overcoming them are discussed.
