Abstract:
A systematic experiment on the dual-frequency tuning characteristic of the dye mixture of Rh6G and CV in ethyl alcohol has been made,and by using the theory of energy transfer in the dye mixture and the principle of dual-frequency correlated tuning in single dye,the tuning characteristeic is discussed and analyzed.

Abstract:
A positive-branch unstable resonator with a step reflectivity mirror used in high power CO2 laser is presented.This resonator is investigated both theoretically and experimentally.The output power of this resonator is 700 watts.W.ith on efficiency of 7.9 percent.The divergent angle of far-field is 2.1 mrad.

Abstract:
The propagation of high-power CW CO2 laser beam in near-ground atmosphere is described in this paper.The laser power is from 3 to 5 kilowatts and the measured propagation distance is from 77 to 107 meters.The laser beam patterns influenced by atmosphere and the distortion patterns of the beam itself has been obtained.

Abstract:
The microstructure of 4Cr5MoV1Si steel treated by means of CO2 laser rapid melting was studied.The results show that the melted region is fine extensional growing cellular crystals and cellular dendrite crystals.In the melted region,the distribution of alloying elements is homogeneous,all carbides are melted and inclusions are eliminated.The microstructure of the melted region is martensite and the amount of lath martensite is more than that of the steel usually quenched.

this paper presents a new method of real-time monitoring the thickness of ZnO film in isoaxis magnetron sputtering device with laser.TCJ-300 type isoaxis magnetron sputter machine is made in our institute.The experimental results show that this method has more adwantages than other methods of monitoring film thickness have.It can show the homogeneity and the thickness of the film as well as the sputtering velocity in process of sputtering.The experimental set and its operation are simple.The monitoring accuracy of the thick of film is better than 1.5%.

By selecting the aqueous solution of Rh6G with polyglycol additives,the parameters,such as laser output,laser threshold and harmonious spectra are studied experimentally.Through these experiments,we have studied the properties of the enhancement of Rh6G laser with polyglycol.We also qualitively discuss effect on fluorescence and laser of dye molecule of the viscosity of solution.

A computer controlled system for measuring diode laser characteristics is built up.In this paper,the system design,component function,software design,etc.are emphasized.A series experimental results are given.The results showy that the computer testing technique is much better than previcus testing technique and very useful for diode laser manufacture and application.

CW CO2 and XeCl excimer laser surface-modification of rabit hair is studied,respectively.Experiments show that both of the lasers directly radiating rabit hair in air can change their fiber surface,XeCl excimer is more suitable for laser surface-modification of rabit hair.

The damages of the dielectric mirrors from 2.94μm laser beams in YAG:Er3+ crystal wave investigated.The test results of different basis plate and coatings materials show that the damage is causesed by the large absorption of“OH”at 2.94μm wavelength (α=8000cm-1).So,it is important to select statable materials and coat waterproof protection film.
