Sintering of Zr02 superionic conductor using CW CO2 laser beam

  • A new method to produce ZrO2 superionic conductor has been proposed.Under the condition of nonequilibrium,using CW CO2 laser beam to sinter the speci-men of the composite of ZrO2 and stabilizing agents CaO and MgO,a few minutes after the ZrO2 superionic conductor can be obtained. The meastirement results shows that the electronic conductivity of the specimens in the range from room temperature to 1000℃ is nearly same as the products by using common methods.
