基于柱面透镜的声光调制器衍射光束圆度补偿

Compensation of diffracted beam circularity for acousto-optic modulators based on cylindrical lens

  • 摘要: 为了解决声光调制器中由于声波矢与光波矢发散角不同、产生动量失配而导致衍射光束圆度下降的问题,采用强度角谱分析与传输矩阵分析方法,提出了在声光调制器前利用柱面透镜进行预补偿的技术方案,并进行了理论分析和实验验证。结果表明,在保持约90%的系统衍射效率下,经校正后衍射光束的圆度在整个传输路径上几乎保持不变,维持在0.98~0.99,接近初始椭圆度0.985。该预补偿方法能有效地解决声光调制中由于动量失配引起的衍射光圆度下降,平衡了声光调制器调制速率、衍射光圆度以及系统整体的能量利用率,这为高速声光调制中如何实现高质量光束衍射提供了一种参考方案。

     

    Abstract: In order to address the issue of decreased circularity in the diffracted beam due to a mismatch in momentum at the acousto-optic modulator caused by the differing dispersion angles of the acoustic and optical wave vectors, the intensity angular spectral analysis and transmission matrix analysis methods were adopted, and the technical solution of pre-compensation using a cylindrical lens in front of the acousto-optic modulator was proposed. Theoretical analyses and experimental verifications were carried out. The results show that the circularity of the corrected diffracted beam remains almost unchanged throughout the transmission path at 0.98 to 0.99, which is close to the initial ellipticity of 0.985. This is achieved while maintaining approximately 90% of the system’s diffraction efficiency. The results demonstrate that the degradation of diffracted luminous circularity resulting from momentum mismatch in acousto-optic modulation can be effectively addressed. Furthermore, the acousto-optic modulator's modulation rate, diffracted light circularity and the overall energy utilization of the system can be balanced. This study provides a reference solution for realizing high-quality beam diffraction in high-speed acousto-optic modulation.
