Analysis of laser’s monochromatic and stable frequency indexes based on edge detecting technology

  • In the application of the lidar system based on edge detecting technology,the laser's central frequency will drift.If the excursion of the central frequency is too big,it will influence the measuring precision of edge detecting system.Through simulation and calculation,the absorption spectrum of molecule iodine absorption filter from 470nm~550nm was obtained.Taking the atmospheric parameters and the underwater parameters as an example,based on the lidar system using edge detecting technology,the absorption spectrum of molecule iodine absorption filter,meeting the requirement of the detecting system' was obtained and the center emission frequency of laser emitter was determined.Based on the above results,the proper monochromatic and stable frequency,meeting the detecting system's demand,was determined and the results can be used as the guideline of laser emitter's choice in the practical systems.
