  • Collapsing of the edges is one of the most important problems in laser-cladding process.The objective is to find the reason and how to solve it.At first,an analytical model was established and the temperature field in the laser-cladding was calculated.After analyzing the calculation results,it was found that the centralization of heat energy at edges was the main reason of edge collapse.Based on experiments,how to solve the edge collapse was found.Finally,this method was applied to laser-cladding on tooth surface and amelioration was achieved on the tooth surface.The results of the experiments prove that this method is valuable and reliable.
