Ion acceleration by Langmuir plasmons in laser plasma

  • In order to obtain the energy spectrum of high power ions in the interaction between laser and plasma,the Fokker-Planck equation,describing the isotropic electric particles,was solved.Then the effect of Langmuir plasmons in laser plasma and Langmuir turbulence spectrum on the ion acceleration was analyzed.The analytical results conformed to the experimental one and the energy spectrum attenuated exponentially.The results show that the realization of ion acceleration exist a great dependence on the style of Langmuir spectrum and only the Kolmogorov-type power-law spectrum is effective for ion acceleration.
