  • By using the pulse-sequence model and the slab model that the active medium is divided into a series of thin slabs with certain gain distribution and loss factor, the propagation properties of laser beams with arbitrary spatial and temporal profiles passing through multistage and multipass pulsed-laser amplifiers with arbitrary gain distribution have been studied in detail.

Abstract: By using the pulse-sequence model and the slab model that the active medium is divided into a series of thin slabs with certain gain distribution and loss factor, the propagation properties of laser beams with arbitrary spatial and temporal profiles passing through multistage and multipass pulsed-laser amplifiers with arbitrary gain distribution have been studied in detail.
