Experimental research of pulse-shape fidelity in seeded single-cell SBS generator

  • A seeded single-cell SBS generator is suggested to achieve high pulse-shape fidelity of SBS to that of the pump.Dependences of SBS pulse shapes on Stokes seed intensity pumped by static field and transient field are experimentally investigated.Pulse-shape fidelity of 90% is obtained.Experimental results show that output Stokes pulses from this SBS geometry are of high pulse-shape fidelity to the pump,which provides the foundation for its further potential application to ICF driver.
