  • The side-coupling technology of micro-prism and double-cladding fiber was studied.A right-angle prism of(1mm×)1mm×1mm dimension was glued on the side surface of the double-cladding fiber whose dimension was 330μm×170μm.The tested laser was coupled into the inner cladding of double-cladding fiber through the micro-prism.The coupling efficiency was measured to be 86% or so.This method can be applied in the side-pumping of double-cladding fiber.
