  • A stable low-threshold self-Q-switched diode-pumped 946nm Nd3+,Cr4+∶YAG microchip laser operating in single frequency and fundamental transversal mode is presented in this paper.The output slope efficiency of 22% is achieved.Combining the microchip and an external frequency doubler,473nm blue laser emission is achieved with an optical conversion efficiency of 15%.

Abstract: A stable low-threshold self-Q-switched diode-pumped 946nm Nd3+,Cr4+∶YAG microchip laser operating in single frequency and fundamental transversal mode is presented in this paper.The output slope efficiency of 22% is achieved.Combining the microchip and an external frequency doubler,473nm blue laser emission is achieved with an optical conversion efficiency of 15%.
