  • Several methods of the passivation of semiconductor laser facets are introduced. Using the technology of facet passivation,the authors treated semiconductor laser facets with several materials. It is found that the samples treated by P2S5/NH4OH and (NH4)2Sx have catastrophic optical damage (COD) at high output power.
