  • The optical limiting properties of the novel pentanuclear ‘open' planar shaped metal cluster compound WOS4Cu4I2(py)6 for 532nm laser pulse was studied.The optical limiting performance is better than that of fullerene under the same condition.The results measured with Z-scan technique show that the excited state absorption is the main mechanism of the optical limiting in the metal cluster solution.
