  • A acousto-optic Q-switched continuous DC discharged waveguide CO2 laser has been developed for the first time by using a germanium single crystal as acousto-optic medium. The pulse repetition frequency of the Q-switched laser can be freely adjuted from 0 to 200 kHz. The performance of the laser is described.

Abstract: A acousto-optic Q-switched continuous DC discharged waveguide CO2 laser has been developed for the first time by using a germanium single crystal as acousto-optic medium.
