The study of helical hollow cathode UV copper ion laser

  • Operating characteristics of UV Cu+ ion lasers with helical hollow cathodes have been investigated. The UV outputs of the lasers with different helical structures have been measured. A maximum peak power of 660mW at 260.0nm was obtained with a helical hollow cathode of 1.2m length, 6mm inner diameter and 9mm coil pitch.
