Abstract: The scanner described in this paper is fabricated by the method called computer-generated holograms. It has more adventages than conditional rotating or osillating mirror scanner, and is suitable to be used as the scanner of bar-code checkout machine. The desigen principle and the fabricating method are discussed in this paper. Experimental results are also given.
