Abstract: According to the electro-magnefic field theory,the relation between the index of the optical thin film and the propagating direction of the light ray is given in this paper from the real structure of the optical thin film.The anisotropic indices of the thin films with high and low indices for various packing density are computed,and the computing results are discussed and analysed.
