Beam characteristics of square ring laser gyro

  • In order to carry out deep research in square ring laser gyro,it is necessary to understand its beam characteristics.Taking advantage of the transmission matrix,the steady condition of a square ring laser gyro was obtained.The electric field distribution in the cavity was obtained by numerical calculation.It is pointed out that there are two Gaussian beams in the cavity,which are combined together at the two curved mirrors.The spot radius will increase with the increase of the curved mirror radii,and the beam will become flatter.
