A relationship for optimum noise distribution in application of avalanche photodiodes(APDS)is derived.According to the relationship,a method measuring optimum multiplication factor of APDS is presented and a instrument for this measurment has been designed and manufactured. Abstract:
According to a model of the global average refractive index distribution,the ray bending.the atmospheric refractive angle,and the altitude error are calculated for various elevation and altitude.In addition, the same as calculations are performed using different refactive index distributions for five typical climate regions.Comparisons between them show that the global average distribution,in general, can be used in the middle-accuracy cases.However,it is necessary knowing about a insitu refractive index distribution for the case that a higher accuracy in required.

In this paper,the experimental procedure are presented for boronzirconium in the 45 steel surface using a transverse-flow CO2 laser with an output power of 500~2000 W modulated CW.The experimental results indicate that the microstructure and the chemical composition of the boron-zirconium alloyed layer will basically change.The alloyed layer possess the advantages, such as high hardness and good wear resistance.

The surfaces of these samples have been coated with B4C powder.Microstructural and energy spectrum analysis of the laser boronizing surfaces indicate that laser boronizing in the 60 steel surface is possiable so that it has the desired high quality surface properties.A preliminary discussion of the strengthening mechanism of the laser boronizing layer has been presented.

The pulsed carbon dioxide laser was used to irradiate the flexor surface of the right forearm in this experiment.The incidence of cutaneous erythema and the time of erythema occurrence were observed.The results showed that the higher the dose of radiant exposure,the higher is the erythema incidence.A linear dose-effect relationship was obtained and the MRD50 was approximatly 0.4J/cm2.

We caculated the statistical characteristic of the laser beams propagating through raindrops,in which we employed Markov's delta correlation assumption and suposed indepantance between index fluctuations induced by raindrops and turbulence respectively.Comparing with experimental data,We concluded that the beam wander and arrived angle fluctuation induced by raindrops were both larger than those by turbulence.
