Characteristics of the frequency pulling of an ultrashort cavity dye laser
Yang Shengli
1993, 17(6): 321-324.
Abstract:
The effects of spectral broadenings of laser materials on laser frequency pulling are compared, and the spectra and the characteristics of output from an ultrashort cavity dye laser (SCDL) at multi-longitudinal mode (LM) states were measured and observed experimentally. The instantaneous cavity length of SCDL can be determined by measuring the curves of the LM spacing vs the middle wavelength of the adjacent LM.
Laser making technique and prospect of ultrafine particle
Guo Guangsheng, Yang Fuming
1993, 17(6): 325-331.
Abstract:
Ultrafine particle (UFP) is a new material, which developed rapidly in recent years. The UFP has many special properties, and will play an important role in science and technology facing the 21st century. In the present paper, the principles, devices, characteristics and present situation of producing ultrafine particles by the laser vapor-phase reaction, the laser heating gas-evaporation,the infrared multiple-photon decomposition, and so on,are reviewed. The laser making technology of ultrafine particles is expected to have the possibility of wide applications in the future.

1993, 17(6): 331-334.
Abstract:
Inhomogeneous thermal power density and temperature distribution of inside-pumped solid-state tube lasers have been derived in this paper.
Mode calculations of resonators for slab lasers:fast Fourier transform method
Feng Guoying, Cai Bangwei
1993, 17(6): 335-339.
Abstract:
The three-dimensional resonator diffraction integrals are solved numerically by using fast Fourier transform (FFT) method to illustrate the mode characteristics of some novel prism resonators used for solid-state slab lasers.

Cao Sansong, Xu Shaoling. Wang Miagqiu, Wu Dazhi, Han Kai
1993, 17(6): 340-344.
Abstract:
Using the rate equations,we derive expression for Q-switched Nd:YAG laser efferency, which is related to the system parameters. The performance of a Q-switched laser can be optimized through proper choice of output mirror reflectivity.A simple process for Q-switched laser efferency is presented.
High power semiconductor diode array lasers
Huang Yunian
1993, 17(6): 345-350.
Abstract:
The semiconductor diode array lasers are efficient, compact, all solid-state sources. The performance and key technologies of high power diode array lasers are reviewed in this paper. Finally its recent progress and future application are given out.
Application of rotating wave plate method in stress measurement
Hu Dejing
1993, 17(6): 350-353.
Abstract:
A new method to substitute rotating wave plate and polarization analyzer method for rotating object method is proposed in this paper.A troublesome problem, that the object cannot be rotated in the stress measurement with electro-optic modulation method has been solved.

1993, 17(6): 354-356.
Abstract:
It is shown analytically that the thermal-stable condition for the conjugate source position of unstable resonators can not be satisfied.
